Russian Armed Forces
The Russian Armed Forces (Russian: Вооружённые Си́лы Росси́йской Федера́ции, tr. Vooruzhonnije Síly Rossíyskoj Federátsii) are the military forces of the Russian Federation, established after the dissolution of the Soviet Union on 7 May 1992, The Russian Armed Forces are divided into: three “branches of Armed Forces” – the Ground Forces, Aerospace Forces, and the Navy; two “separate troop branches” – the Strategic Missile Troops and the Airborne Troops; and Logistical Support.
